He is a Trans-Tasman award winning professional working as counsellor, mediator, supervisor, Balint group leader and therapist with over 30 years experience in his field of work. He is widely trained in his chosen profession having studied in the United Kingdom, California and in his home country here in New Zealand. He has significant experience of establishing and then supporting a range of differing services for various Non Government Organisations and District Health Boards. He is regularly consulted by Judges, Lawyers and Family Mediators on both sides of theTasman on professional practice issues, particularly around the integration of the use Our Family Wizard in Family Law practice.

Andrew is the Director of Howick Counselling Services which was set up in Howick in 2005. He has been a counsellor and therapist for 20 years, working both in private practice as well as in a guidance role in several Auckland secondary schools. He works with both adults and adolescents individually and through his work with the Family Court he is a very experienced relationship counsellor. He is also trained as a Family Dispute Resolution mediator and works with Family Works as an FDR Provider.

Jill is a counsellor and mediator and has won awards and scholarships for her work in family mediation. She specialises in work with the rearranging family and also runs training courses for other professionals.Jill has worked in a diverse range of countries and settings and is director of The Family Matters Centre in Auckland.She has a particular research interest in child inclusive practice in mediation and has frequently published and presented on this.

Senta provides specialist conflict resolution support to individuals, families, couples and communities in crisis. As a mediator, counsellor and conflict resolution coach her vision is to reduce the emotional, financial and social costs of resolving conflict. After a successful career as a Business Strategist in the advertising industry, she retrained through the Institute of Psychosynthesis, the Harvard Programme of Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, Process Therapy and the Consciousness Sciences to work in the conflict resolution sector. She remains an active member of a conflict resolution group for professionals based on the principles of Process Therapy and is an AMINZ Associate and a registered FDR Mediator. Over the last twenty years, she has worked as a domestic violence and crisis mental health counsellor, family mediator, advocate, Parenting through Separation facilitator and has provided conflict resolution and mediation training. As a mature and dedicated professional, Senta has an in-depth grasp on the psychological, circumstantial and industry dynamics that fuel conflict. She brings her own blend of strategic skill, consideration and compassion to the table to achieve the best possible outcomes for all concerned.

Muriel has been a Family Court Counsellor since 1997, providing counselling for couples going through separation and child custody issues. Muriel is of Indian Origin and speaks a variety of Indian languages. Her field of expertise is working with individuals, couples, families and domestic violence.
Sharleen Parry

Sharleen has worked with individuals and couples experiencing relationship difficulties with those struggling within the transition of separation, blended families and requiring assistance with Parenting Agreements since 2004. This has required experience within domestic violence, cross cultural awareness, step family training, working with anger and conflict and communication within relationships. She is a qualified resolution professional accredited FDR through Leader NZ.

She is collaborative in her approach and believes that respectful and constructive communication gives permission to resolving disputes and removing constraints within relationships. Her work is child inclusive and focuses on the best interest of children.

For the past twelve years I have worked predominantly as a mediator, facilitator, conflict coach, and trainer in all areas of family and business-related disputes. I have been a Family Business Advisor working with Family Businesses for the past 8 years, accredited with the Family Business Institute in Australia. I have been a Chartered Accountant for over 25 years. I have dealt in the areas of business or commercial disputes, family disputes, trusts, estate, and industrial relations. I have had more than 2,000 hours of mediation experience. I trained as an arbitrator and mediator and have been accredited as a Mediator since 2006, becoming an FDRP in Australia in 2008 and accredited as an FDR Provider in New Zealand in 2014. Parties should be encouraged and empowered to find their own unique and agreed solutions through facilitated open and honest communication. I returned to New Zealand in 2012 after working in Australia for seven years.

Barbara has been practising as a Mediator since 1986. She is accredited as a Fellow of the Resolution Institute and an Associate of AMINZ. In 2014, in conjunction with Deborah Hart, CEO of AMINZ Barbara project managed the training for mediators who wished to become FDR Providers. In the FDR system, Barbara has worked with about 200 separating parent referrals. Barbara is motivated to keep families out of Court wherever this is appropriate. She believes that with the right support most parents can work together to make the best possible decisions together for their children.

Haamid Ben Fayed left New Zealand in 2004 to pursue his religious studies abroad. He spent time in Australia and Egypt before settling in the town of Tarim in the Hadramawt province of Yemen where he trained as an Imam in the world renowned Islamic seminary, Dar Al Mustafa. Haamid returned to New Zealand in 2011 and qualified as a lawyer. He currently works as a mediator for a number of government Ministries and enjoys being part of the FWRS whānau of Family Mediators.

Dorothy has a legal background, previously practicing as a Family Lawyer. She has been a Resolution Institute accredited mediator since 2012. Since 2016, Dorothy has specialized in the area of disputes resolution, with a focus on restorative practices, mediation and adjudication. Dorothy has experience working with parties going through Family Court proceedings, Separation, Family Violence, and Parenting matters. Of Samoan heritage, Dorothy grew up surrounded by her aiga (family) and understands the value and importance of keeping and nurturing healthy relationships. As a mediator she has a practical approach in helping people to sit down and have an honest and courageous conversation about what really matters, and to make the best decisions.
