Originally from the United States, Susan has lived in New Zealand for over 30 years. After graduating from the University of Auckland Law School, she commenced practise in Napier, and has continued in practise, now as a barrister sole, doing only Family Court work. Her main focus is on children with well over half her work acting as Court-appointed lawyer for child or counsel to assist. She is an accredited member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Panel of Mediators as a Family Specialist.
An app that helps separating and separated parents to communicate better with each other, avoid arguments and protect their children from conflict or from being used as messengers will be available in New Zealand through the Family Works Resolution Service from February.
